Jingle All the Way 5k to Benefit CASA Glynn
Jingle All the Way 5k
Every year, more than 14,000 abused and neglected children in Georgia are in foster care because they are unable to live safely at home. In Glynn and Camden County alone we have between 200 and 250 children in foster care at any given time. Imagine what it would be like to lose your parents, not because of something you did, but because they can’t – or won’t – take care of you. Now, into these children’s lives come dozens of strangers: police, foster parents, therapists, social workers, judges, lawyers and more. Hopefully, one of these strangers is a CASA volunteer. CASA volunteers watch over advocate for those abused and neglected children to make sure that they move quickly through the system. The volunteer stays with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence during their ordeal. Your help is needed. All the proceeds raised via the Jingle All the Way 5k will go to support CASA Glynn and CASA Camden and the hundreds of volunteers that support the children of southeast Georgia
